| The Good Old Boys Blues Band started life in 1993 in the drummers
back room after a group of friends saw 'The Blues Brothers' and fell for the soundtrack.
Reminded of a treasure trove of music from the Stax Vault, Sun Records, Chess
Records and many more, the Gobbs started looking for a sound of their own rooted
in the classic style of the Rhythm and Blues Showbands of an earlier era. |
| |
| From their very first gig it was a big success. It turned out
that audiences all over the Country loved that same sound. There was something
about a drum-tight rhythm section, a full on brass section and the blend of great
male and female voices that set toes to tapping, lips to smiling and brought out
the boogie in everyone who sees them play. |
| |
| Nearly a decade down the line and still much in demand the
band is better than ever. They've honed their Soul, Rhythm & Blues and Blues
Revue to perfection. So, if you share their view that Everybody Needs Somebody
right up until the Midnight Hour, check them out! Just bring your dancing shoes.......................................! |
